She's 29 years old and is one of seven women to be sentenced to "The Row"

Taylor Rene Parker is one of just seven women in Texas to be sentenced to Death Parker of Simms, Texas, was sent to death row on November 9, 2022. Taylor is a very attractive young woman who had a bubly personality that people were naturally drawn to. What happened that landed Taylor in death row?
For starters, Taylor spent almost ten months pretending to be pregnant. In October 2020, she attacked and killed her friend Reagan Hancock, 21, and ripped her unborn child out of her womb before fleeing and claiming ownership of the child. A few months before the murder, she hosted her own gender reveal party, purchased a fake silicone baby belly and ultrasound pictures from FakeABaby.com, and wore the false baby belly to ensure she looked pregnant. She stalked and loitered in the parking lots of OBGYN offices, and spent hours searching Google for things like "where do pregnant women go". Taylor spent hours at a time searching pregnant women's license plate numbers online while she sat in the parking lot. In the weeks preceding the murder, these searches became more intense.
Taylor was quite the con. But her manipulation, tactics, and schemes did not end there. Taylor continued to deceive and manipulate even after her arrest, in the Bowie County Jail. During her murder trial, the prosecution presented this evidence, which aided in securing her a space in death row. Taylor has caused so much disruption and difficulty, according to the correctional officials and staff that the institution has forced to alter its regulations and procedures.
She has fabricated complaints and filed false grievances, lied about her medical history and conditions, and has had various conflicts with other prisoners and guards. She allegedly mistreated and filed unfounded and baseless complaints against jail staff and threatening individual lawsuits against them. Prosecutors claim that she allegedly made remarks that could be interpreted as physical threats.
Parker has remained in protective custody at the Bi-State Detention Center since her arrest, until the day of her sentencing, November 9th, 2022, when she was transferred directly to Death Row.
She has made repeated “bogus medical claims” and demands for unnecessary medical care. She insisted on having an oxygen tank in her cell, and then would be observed by the jail staff not using the oxygen. Subsequent medical testing revealed that the defendant was not in need of the assistance of oxygen.
Taylor made repeated sick calls demanding medical attention for injuries and ailments that do not exist and then would use the time she was being transported to the jail medical department to talk with her boyfriends in the jail, or to pass notes to other inmates.
When the jail staff stopped allowing Taylor to visit the medical department, she became irate. When Taylor is subjected to the standard jail security measures, she loses her temper and causes chaos. She gets furious when she is not handcuffed in the front and does not want to be handcuffed in the back.
In order to prevent her inmate account from being garnished for the unpaid medical expenses she owes the county, Taylor has devised a plan where her mother buys commissary products under the accounts of other prisoners, who would subsequently give them to her. Taylor Parker owes Bowie County more than $2,260 as of February 2022 for medical costs. That amount has most likely doubled by now.
Taylor planned a massive scheme in which she fabricated evidence, tampered with witnesses, and ultimately attempted to frame a mentally fragile inmate for her crime. She asked fellow inmates to hand out letters that she typed up, and changed the hand writing in hopes that it would be successful. Details of the crime that only she knew were detailed in the letters, and she was aware of this.
Taylor tried to make it look like Reagan was killed by a gang and that she was involved only because she was addicted to painkillers and somehow got caught up in the middle of it. All of this is untrue, and Taylor is merely attempting to place the blame for her cruel behavior elsewhere.
Along with maintaining numerous intimate relationships with other prisoners, both from within the jail and outside, Taylor has also penned a good number of romantic letters addressed to other prisoners. In addition, she has received assistance from friends and family in reaching out to possible romantic interests on the "outside" as well.
Parker claimed to have a Netflix deal for a documentary and a contract for a biography. However, the jail says that Netflix never contacted them for a request.
Taylor is an avid reader of true crime, and murder mysteries. Her mother purchases the books for her. She is obsessed with the books about how to solve murders. She speaks about this frequently with other jail staff, and jailers. She wrote a letter and addressed it to the FBI and offered her assistance in solving murders in exchange for assistance in her case to get off with a life sentence rather than death. The letters were found in her cell during a routine search, as well as a razor and map of the jail. Razors are supposed to be turned back in to jail staff after each use. It is unclear exactly how Taylor was able to get a map of the jail.
It's surely challenging to be a prisoner on Texas' Death Row. Taylor will now be confined to a 60 square foot, single-person cell for 23 of the 24 hours each day. She is only permitted four in-person visits every year, behind glass, and four five-minute phone calls each year. Many of us are curious to see how Taylor is currently coping on death row. Was it worth it Taylor? I hope that the victim's family members are doing alright. What do you think about this devastating case? Leave a comment!
