In addition to her life-long love of skateboarding, Sarah was a licensed marriage and family therapist too, with a business based out of California.

According to one post, Sarah had worked as an editor on comics, including the popular series Gen13 , and she was seen at a convention a few years before her death. Another former colleague shared on Facebook that Sarah was a "unique gem of a person."
