BRUNCH FOR A CAUSE: Members of the London fashion community on Sunday gathered at the London Edition for its annual Pride brunch, supporting charity organizations while enjoying high-energy drag performances.

Cohosted by Jean Paul Gaultier, fashion designer Henry Holland and drag icon Gottmik, who recently starred in Christian Siriano’s resort 2025 look book, this year’s brunch raised funds for the Albert Kennedy Trust, which focuses on providing a safe environment for LGBTQIA+ youth in the U.K., and Not a Phase, a charity advocating for trans rights.

“Every year the event gets bigger and better and for me it always comes back to the two charities that we raise the money for,” Holland said.

“Pride is a party — sure. But also we have to remember that for so many charities Pride Month is the time that they raise a huge percentage of their funds for the year ahead to empower them to do the work that they do and that’s what today is all about,” added the designer, who now creates ceramics and homeware for a living.

During the brunch, guests including Russell Tovey, Erdem Moralıoğlu, Christopher Kane, Charles Jeffrey, Edie Campbell and Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters, as well as Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy from the popular English girl group Sugababes, watched drag shows performed by Jonbers Blonde, Cara Melle and Gottmik in between dishes.

“Just showing up to things like this as a queer person is more important than you realize. A brunch isn’t just a brunch — it can be activism too,” Gottmik said at the end of her performance.

A fundraising raffle was drawn toward the end of the brunch. Moralıoğlu was a lucky winner on the day. He took home tickets to the Girls Aloud Live concert and a bottle of Champagne.
