Buckingham Palace Gives Positive Update On Princess Anne After Her Hospitalization

With Japan’s Emporer Naruhito and his wife Empress Masako visiting the United Kingdom this week, Princess Anne was expected to partake in some of the events. That has since changed, however, after Buckingham Palace broke news that the princess has been hospitalized. This was caused by an incident that took place at Gatcombe Park on Sunday evening.

We’re being told that the exact events of the incident are still being investigated. That said, we do know that Anne sustained head injuries while walking in her estate in Gloucestershire. The medical team who took care of her have also shared their insights. According to them, horses were near Anne that evening. This aligns with her injuries, which seem to indicate impact from a horse’s head or legs. In any case, Buckingham Palace has since shared a positive update. In it, they reassure anyone who is concerned for the 73 year old.

“The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening,” Buckingham Palace says . “Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.”

This has proven to be a particularly tough year health-wise for the Royal Family. Both King Charles and the Princess of Wales are battling cancer . Still, they seem to remain hopeful as they persevere through these struggles, all the while showing support for one another.

“The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery,” the statement from Buckingham Palace concludes .
