Just so you know, What to Expect may earn commissions from the shopping links included on this page. All sales and prices are accurate at the time of publishing.

There are always new baby and parenting products hitting the market, and our editorial team works tirelessly to evaluate and review the latest crop of car seats, baby care items and more. To help you navigate through the sea of stuff and discover which parenting items are worth consideration, I've curated a selection of my favorite new baby products hitting the shelves this summer (digitally speaking, that is).

We’ve highlighted items that’ll help with your summer adventures, including a stroller organizer to hold sunscreen and plenty of water. But we’ve also called out picks that go beyond seasonal needs, such as a toddler tower to give your little one more independence and a rotating car seat for easy loading and unloading.

Although we haven’t had the chance to personally test and vet each of these products, they come from brands our editorial team and What to Expect parents trust and love, including Newton, Tubby Todd and Lalo. Read on to learn more about the best new baby products available now.

    A sustainably-designed convertible crib

    Galileo Newton Convertible Cribr

$599 See More Available from Newton

Many parents opt for a baby crib that’s convertible because it’s long-lasting and can be a better investment. Newton’s new Galileo Convertible Crib is designed to last from birth until around four years of age, transitioning into a toddler bed and daybed as your little one gets bigger. We already love Newton’s Crib Mattress, which was voted as Best Crib Mattress in this year’s What to Expect Sleep Awards, so it’s a no brainer that we also love this crib, which is made from sustainably-sourced solid Beech wood and made to last for baby number two or three, too. It comes in three finishes, Natural, White and Chestnut, and even includes the toddler bed conversion kit (which are often sold separately). Bundle it with the crib mattress and save $75.

A learning tower for their budding independence

    Lalo The Tower

$249 See More Available from Lalo

Learning towers are a great way for your toddler to engage more with their world: They can use it to reach the sink for handwashing or join you at the kitchen island while you meal prep. Lalo, the makers of the popular The Play Kit, have launched The Tower, a solid birch wood toddler stool that is both elegant-looking and super useful for your tot. With two adjustable heights, most toddlers can start using The Tower around 18 months as long as they can climb in and out of it on their own. Early reviewers of this item especially love how easy it is to keep clean: You can wipe it down with a wet cloth. Although pricey, it will be an item you’ll get daily use out of and can easily be passed down.

Gentle baby wash and balm specifically for newborns

Aveeno Baby Healthy Start Wash and Balm

$11 to 13 See More Available from Amazon

Aveeno’s baby wash has been popular with What to Expect readers for years — it snagged a spot as the Best Baby Wash on last year’s Mom Must-Have Awards — due largely to its gentle oat-based formula. But you may want something even more gentle for baby’s skin. Enter  Aveeno’s new Healthy Start line, which includes a wash and balm designed specially for newborns. Both items are extra-hydrating with a triple-oat blend that boosts baby’s skin barrier for added protection. Each item is fragrance-, paraben- and phthalate-free and safe to use the day you bring baby home.

    Extra storage for summer adventures

7AM Enfant Diaper Backpack and Stroller Organizer

$50 to $80 See More Available from Target

Make your summer walks a breeze with these new products from 7AM Enfant. First, the Sydney Diaper Bag Backpack (Target, $80) which features four interior and two exterior pockets to better store and organize all your essentials. It also includes a changing pad, so you always have a safe, clean place to change your baby. Plus, it’s water repellent so it’s durable and easy to wipe clean.

Then there’s the Stroller Organizer (Bloomingdale's, $50), which conveniently attaches to your stroller handle and can hold necessities for both you and baby, like wipes and diapers, a sippy cup, a regular water bottle, your wallet and keys and even some toys or a book. The fabric is wipeable so it’s easy to keep clean, too.

A bath care set that smells like summer

    Tubby Todd Summer Collection

$78 See More Available from Tubby Todd

Known for its gentle baby and toddler skincare products, Tubby Todd has launched a summertime skincare set featuring mango and vanilla scented bubble bath, hair and body wash and lotion. But, even though these items are fragrant, they are free from synthetic scents, so they’re designed to still be gentle enough for sensitive skin (as well as being free from parabens and SLS, which can also cause irritation). You can also buy the items separately for $17 each, if you’d rather try one out before investing in the set.

    Two new multi-functional Lululemon bags

Lululemon Multi-Pocket Tote Bag and Crossbody Bag

$68 each See More Available from Lululemon

What to Expect moms love the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag, which is why we’re excited to share two new additions to their lineup of accessories. First is the Daily Multi-Pocket Tote Bag, which can hold an impressive 20 liters making it an ideal diaper bag alternative, especially because it has exterior and interior pockets in addition to the water repellent (AKA easy-to-clean) material. The second new product is the Multi-Pocket Crossbody Bag, a compact yet versatile option for holding essentials and more: There are zippered front pockets that would be perfect for a pacifier or small toy, in addition to your own must-haves.

Kids’ furniture that doubles as a way to play

    Nugget Chunk

$199 See More Available from Nugget

The Nugget couch is wildly popular due to its many uses, going from a soft, cushioned couch to a fort, slide or castle in seconds.Joining the Nugget this summer is the Chunk, a first of its kind play ottoman designed for kids ages four and up. It’s a little less expensive and more compact than the Nugget couch, but still provides plenty of play opportunities. It consists of four nesting pieces that your child can push, roll, stack and more for open-ended play. Or it can be a seat and footrest for ultimate comfort.

An easy-to-use, versatile rotating car seat

Chicco Fit360 Rotating Convertible Car Seat

$399 See More Available from Amazon

Chicco has joined the rotating car seat trend with its new Fit360 Rotating Convertible Car Seat. Whether used rear- or forward-facing, this 360-degree rotating car is designed so you can easily get your baby in and out of the car. This particular model also comes with an easy-to-undo magnetic chest clip and headrest with 15 positions for optimal comfort. Plus, early users of this new car seat claim that it’s also a breeze to install in your car. Although pricey, many say it’s worth the money to make everyday life easier.
