Fans Say Ree Drummond Will be the 'Best Grandma' After Daughter's 'Exciting' Family News

Ree Drummond and her family have a lot to celebrate this week as her daughter Alex just announced some major news!

Taking to Instagram, Alex and her husband, Mauricio Scott , posted an update that made everyone smile. Alongside photos of the couple and their dog posing with ultrasound images, they wrote, "We can’t wait to meet you, little one. 🤍 Baby Scott joining the party this winter! Thank you Lord for this precious gift 😇."

Drummond replied in the comments, "Beyond happy for you two!! (And for the whole family!) 🥹 Love you, Alex and Mauricio!" while Alex's brother Bryce added, "🔥🔥🔥."

Drummond shared more of her thoughts on the big family announcement on her blog , titling it, "Alex and Mauricio Are Expecting!" before adding in the subtitle, "Psst...it's not another puppy..."

"Oh my gosh. Alex is pregnant! My first baby is having her first baby. My child is going to have a child," she earnestly reacted as she revealed the news to her readers. "It's surreal, and I'm sure all of you grandparents can relate to the feeling of momentarily leaving your body after hearing upon hearing similar news."

Drummond shared a few more tidbits at the end of the blog post, noting that she was going to return to Pilates and use the rowing machine more in preparation for the baby's arrival. She sweetly said that she keeps "marveling at the feeling" of Alex being pregnant.

"Granny. Granny Ree Ree? Maybe just Ree Ree. We’ll wait and see! (Swipe if you missed the news…😊❤️ So happy.)" she also posted on Instagram following the news.

As fans contemplated what the baby would call her, others poured in with congratulatory messages and advice, including Little People Big World's Amy Roloff , who wrote, "Congrats. You'll love being a grandma."

This will be Drummond's first grandchild. Alex is her oldest child with husband Ladd Drummond , while they have another daughter Paige and three sons, Bryce , Todd and Jamar . Jamar is the couple's foster son, joining the family in 2018.

While Alex is the blogger's only married child, her daughter Paige has been dating boyfriend David for some time now, and it's unclear if any of her sons are in relationships.
