As Taylor Swift continues on her record-breaking Eras Tour across Europe and the UK, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl made an off-the-cuff comment that’s ruffled a few feathers in the Swifties sphere of social media. Both Swift and Groh’s band played to UK audiences this past week.

During their concert in London on June 22, Grohl called his band’s show the “Errors Tour,” explaining they’d had a “few more eras and more than a few f—ing errors” because “we actually play live.” He’s clearly taking aim at Swift’s near-perfect Eras Tour production value. (Grohl as fronted the Foo Fighters since in 1994.)

The next day, Swift appeared to address Grohl’s shade during her Wembley show on Sunday night when she thanked fans for attending her marathon performance. “What you just did is an unforgettable moment in not just my life, but every single one of our crew,” she told the audience of 90,000.

“The band that’s going to be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight,” she continued. “They deserve this so much and so does every one of my fellow performers, and you just gave that to us so generously. We’ll never forget it.”

Swifties took to social media to express their frustration with Grohl’s comments. “Oh Tayvoodoo is coming for him and he deserves it,” one person wrote on X. “Can’t handle that a woman is more talented and successful.” Another wrote, “Wow Grohl so washed he has to use Taylor’s name for free pr? Embarrassing thought he was better than that what a shame [sic].”

It is disappointing behavior from Grohl, but perhaps there’s underlying beef here. Earlier this year, Grohl’s 17-year-old daughter, Violet, was cyber-bullied by Swifties after she posted about the pop star’s infamous use of her private jet. In a since-deleted tweet , Violet wrote: “Why can’t Taylor Swift just drive like everyone else?” The teen was allegedly sent death threats in response. Hell hath no fury like a Swiftie scorned .
