POCONO TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have arrested a woman after she allegedly hid a wanted fugitive.

On June 17 around 11:30 a.m., the Pocono Township Police were called to the area of Paul Terrace to serve a warrant on a man.

Once on the scene, officers said they knocked on the door and 15 minutes later they made contact with 43-year-old Bobbi Jo Worden, from Scotrun.

During the investigation, Worden told officers she was home alone and hadn’t seen the suspect for days. Police say they told Worden multiple times she would be charged for hiding a fugitive, but she insisted the suspect was not there.

The suspect then came out of the house voluntarily several minutes later, investigators stated.

Worden was charged with hindering apprehension and other related charges.
