SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) — About two weeks after a man’s body was found dumped along a set of train tracks in Middle Tennessee, his girlfriend and her son are now facing charges for his alleged murder.

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office said the man’s body was discovered on Tuesday, June 11 near the train tracks by North Qualls Road, only a few miles outside of the Robertson County border with Montgomery County.

With assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, deputies said they were able to determine that the victim, 24-year-old Carlos Camaja of Springfield, had been brought to the location after being shot.

The shooting reportedly happened at a residence on North Oak Street in Springfield. According to officials, the evidence collected during the investigation pointed to two potential suspects: Camaja’s girlfriend, Celia Ramirez-Hernandez, and her son, Misael Cruz-Hernandez.

Ramirez-Hernandez and Cruz-Hernandez have been charged with criminal homicide, criminal simulation and fabricating or tampering with evidence. They are both being held without bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
