    I-40 West back open in Humphreys County following closure due to wreck

    HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — All westbound lanes of Interstate 40 are reopened following a closure caused by a multi-vehicle crash Monday afternoon.

    The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reported the crash at 3:41 p.m. near mile marker 143.

    A post to X , formerly Twitter, from the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Department stated that Interstate 40 was closed. They also provided photographs of the area near the incident. It is unclear when lanes will be reopened.

    No additional details were immediately released.
