It came after she tragically lost her husband , manager, and father of her three sons, René Angélil, to throat cancer in 2016.

Celine ’s heartbreak and struggles in recent years are set to be highlighted in her new documentary I Am: Celine Dion , which premieres on Tuesday.

But despite speculation that she has been looking for a new partner, a pal has told The U.S. Sun that she has “barely socialized” outside her tight-knit inner circle.

“She has no interest in relationships. Family and health take up most of her time, followed by her comeback plans,” the friend said.

“She is happy being surrounded by her kids. René was her everything. Another man would need to be a Superman in her eyes to even stand a chance of a date.”

    CELINE’S HEALING

The friend also addressed old rumors that Celine dated backup dancer Pepe Muñoz, 39.

“Pepe is just a close friend and huge support,” the pal said.

The source explained that Celine’s sons Rene-Charles, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddy , 13, have been her inspiration throughout her battle with stiff-person syndrome.

The condition has left the My Heart Will Go On singer suffering from broken ribs amid concerns about her potentially undergoing serious falls and experiencing dangers from pain medication.

But she told her friend that she “would not allow anything to leave her kids in the world alone.”

“Celine has faced so many challenges in recent years but has never given up and has held strong,” the hitmaker’s friend shared.

“At the center of her determination was to be present for her boys.

“She made a vow that she would never let her sons not have a parent around, especially after the loss of René hit them so so hard.”

“Celine lives for her children and is so invested in them,” the insider continued.

She has no interest in relationships. Family and health take up most of her time, followed by her comeback plans.

“Her priority has always been being a mother, and while her career and singing comes a close second, her prime focus is supporting them as they grow.”

The source explained that Celine was warned that the treatment for the disease could prompt side effects such as falls and pain issues.

“But she has powered through, trying many cutting-edge therapies to make a recovery,” they added.

“The challenging aspect of her plight is being able to control the spasms and muscle issues.

“That is the focus of her recovery now.

    LEANING ON FAMILY

“But the boys are so supportive of their mom. They have been with her every step of the way.

“They really are a kind, caring group of kids who adore their mom.

“They have stayed so strong for her and have been mature beyond their years,” the source ended.

Celine recently opened up more about her diagnosis while promoting her documentary.

“This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me,” the Power Of Love singer, who hasn’t performed on stage since 2020, told Today ‘s Hoda Kotb in an interview earlier this month.

“The journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me,” she added.
