Amazon just announced its plans for the tenth-annual Prime Day sale —the retailer's biggest deal event of the year. The two-day-only sale will run from July 16 to 17 and will offer shoppers a chance to stock up on hundreds of thousands of items from seasonal clothing to camping gear. Unlike Amazon's Big Spring Sale in March, this sale is exclusively open to Amazon Prime members. Thankfully, signing up for a Prime membership is easy , and there's even a 30-day trial period before payment starts.

Certain products have already started to drop in price ahead of the actual sale, shedding some light on what to expect from this year's markdown madness. Dozens of power tools from DeWalt's 20V collection are already on sale, and top-selling footwear from brands like Cole Haan and Merrell also seem to be gearing up for big price drops, with many styles on sale right now.
