    DeSoto County Board approves $52M budget

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Desoto County’s Board of Education voted to remain roughly at a $52 million budget for the upcoming school year.

    MSCS to invest additional $28M toward teacher salaries in 2024-2025 fiscal year

    The Public Employees’ Retirement System of Mississippi and Athletic/Student Activity Supplement will increase by half of a percent.

    The district is also adding seven school resource officers.

    Earlier this year, the superintendent signed off on an additional $1,100 for teacher salaries.
