Heretic Trailer: See Hugh Grant in the Spine-Chilling First Preview

Hugh Grant has switched up the rom-com charm for a twisted, terrifying tale from writer/director duo Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.

A24 dropped the first trailer, which features Chloe East and Sophie Thatcher roaming the streets asking people if they would like to hear about their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Met with little interest, the girls take a turn to an isolated house where a warm and welcoming Hugh Grant greets them, inviting them into his home to share their message.

However, the pleasant man baking blueberry pie is suddenly not all that he seems and the girls realize they're caught in a lie that will test their faith.

Two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant), becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse.

Heretic is the latest from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who have previously lent their pen to the screenplays for the three A Quiet Place films. The duo are also responsible for collaborating on the screenplay for 65 and most recently, directing The Boogeyman .

Heretic creeps into theaters on November 15.
