St. Pete’s Mexican restaurant scene will grow when popular South Tampa spot Green Lemon comes to town.

Operated by Ciccio Restaurant Group, the restaurant will be located at 4400 Fourth St. N. and is projected to open this fall, according to Jordan Warshavsky, a partner in the group.

The restaurant serves all the Mexican favorites like tacos, burritos and nachos, with ingredients like ahi tuna and spicy buffalo avocado-glazed crispy chicken. The menu of Fiesta Bowls offers creative combinations too, like the Habanero Beef with brisket, shredded carrot and Sriracha aioli.

Among appetizers like a trio of dips served with tortilla chips, there’s also loaded papas fritas and crispy Buffalo broccoli and cauliflower.

And there is the Dang Quesadilla — a fun throwback nod to the movie “Napoleon Dynamite” — with cheddar, queso blanco and corn salsa with the option to add a protein.

It also has solid margarita options including the Caliente with a chipotle salt rim, the Skinny with agave nectar and fresh lime, and the Not So Famous Margarona, a 24-ounce serving of its signature margarita with bottle of Corona beer dumped in it.

“While guests will find many of the staples that have made (Green Lemon) in Soho, there are certain to be a few surprises that reflect St. Pete’s fun and eclectic energy,” Warshavsky said in an email.

Ciccio Restaurant Group is no stranger to St. Pete. It also operates healthy bowl spot Fresh Kitchen, the California-inspired spot Cali and casual Italian joint Jay Luigi, all on Fourth Street N.

The group also runs the restaurants Taco Dirty, Daily Eats, Water + Flour, Sweet Soul, Luv Child and a fitness and yoga studio called Camp, all located in Tampa.
