Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade Performed at Daughter Kaavia’s Dance Recital & We’re Cackling

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are so committed to their kids’ projects and performances, and we love their dedication. When Wade’s 17-year-old daughter Zaya walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week, the power couple was crying alongside the catwalk. And now that their 5-year-old is performing in dance recitals, they’re going all out and dancing from their front-row seats.

And yes, it’s equal parts adorable and hilarious. Union recently posted a video on Instagram of Kaavia’s recital day and it starts out with a sweet clip of Shady Baby (IYKYK) in the morning telling her dad that it’s recital day. Her makeup is already done (she’s rocking a red lip!), and followers agree she is “cuter and cuter everyday.”

It then cuts to footage of Kaavia on stage nailing multiple routines. There’s a whole lot of adorable hip-shaking and pose-striking.

“En pointe runs in the genes,” Union captioned the post .

We then see “bts” footage of Union and Wade “rehearsing” in their yard. There’s some kicking and saying and impressive jazz hands that the Union-Wades were waving in the air (like they just don’t care).

The video then cuts to footage of the two in the audience doing the dance while others around them give a half-a**ed attempt or don’t try at all. “Clearly no one else rehearsed,” Union wrote over the video with the crying emoji.

“Side note: the wades stay in formation … even from the crowd 😎,” the Bring It On alum continued the caption.

They really are committed to the routine even though no one around them seems to care, and it’s so endearing and funny. It’s giving Amy Poehler in Mean Girls , dancing along to The Plastics’ iconic talent show performance. (But less cringe.)

According to the proud parents, they’re not the only ones who were all about getting it right.

“She was sooooooo serious about her preparation yall have no idea. 😂 Kid is a gamer, stays ready❤️,” Union commented. “Stays ready,” Wade agreed.
