Rey Mysterio Denies Logan Paul Saved Him During Moonsault, Blames Social Media Influencer

At Crown Jewel, it looked like Logan Paul saved Rey Mysterio from landing on his head, but now blame is on the social media star.

Last year, WWE continued its lengthy deal with Saudi Arabia. Outside of the world being on lockdown, WWE has run two premium live events per year. Often, the shows are questioned as WWE has little say over what the Saudi Arabian governments wants to see. A common sight, is social media influencer, boxer and salesman Logan Paul. During Crown Jewel 2023 , Logan defeated Rey Mysterio to become United States Champion.

There was a particular spot that had fans talking. Basically, it seemed like Mysterio was about to land on his head after a botched springboard moonsault. However, while speaking to Chris Van Vliet , Mysterio noted how he was safe and sort of blamed Logan. “I try to advise him that I don’t jump out, I jump up,” said Mysterio. “So, you might have to take a step in to be at the right spot and catch. So, sure enough, I jumped up and he caught me. If he would have been there, I would have moonsaulted and just landed on my tummy. But he did make a good save. He did make a good catch.”

Rey Mysterio Claims He Was Always Fine

“And the fact, not only that he caught me, but that he powered me up, you know, he caught me in a squat position and he took me right back up and we continued,” said Mysterio. “Yeah, he’s saying ‘respect, man. I saved you. I would have landed on his head.’ So, I give him respect for his ability and for how good he’s become. But not for saving me.”

Lately, Logan has been defending the United States Championship more frequently. There looks to be a good chance his 8 month run ends via LA Knight . Mysterio continues to feud with his son, Dominik Mysterio . They have been going at it for about 2 years and meet again next week on RAW . So, does Rey Mysterio have a point about Logan Paul and the moonsault?
