(Red Oak) Once again, opponents to the Summit Carbon Solutions pipeline appeared before the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors, voicing concerns over eminent domain, setbacks, and others. Two weeks ago, a room full of opponents filled the room, urging the supervisors to place the Summit Carbon Solutions Pipeline discussion on the agenda for discussion, particularly about drafting a countywide ordinance.

Meanwhile, the IUB sent a press release at around 10:00 a.m. today stating it has approved the Summit Carbon Solutions Pipeline application with modifications. Speaking before the Supervisors, James Norri of West Township noted that a Public Forum with Summit Carbon Solutions Representatives sounds reasonable but may be unnecessary.

This past week, Supervisor Donna Robinson contacted counties up and down the proposed pipeline’s south corridor, asking how they handle pipelines running through their county.

In other business, the supervisors accepted Western Engineering’s one-million-252-thousand-352-dollar bid for the H34 Overlay from the bridge over Red Oak Creek east approximately two miles and designated Karen Albert to execute the contracts. The board also approved the contracts related to the project.
