Cats do a lot of adorable things. Whether it's the way they purr when you pet them or how peaceful they look when they're sleeping, it's all just so cute. But there's nothing compared to watching them make biscuits, just as Maine Coon Meatball does in his favorite bed.

A June 21, 2024 TikTok video posted by MeatballTheMaineCoon ( @meatballthemainec ) shows this cutie's biscuit-making ritual that will send you into full relaxation-mode. Take a look below!

"Good morning Meatball Murder Mitt Biscuits," the caption says. The 41-second clip gives Meatball the spotlight as he carefully and thoughtfully kneads his bunny bed to soothe and relax his tired soul. This little guy spends a lot of time jumping, playing, and interacting with his fur siblings, so a little kneading is an absolute must to wind down at the end of a long day.

The Maine Coon, who made his TikTok debut on Feb. 6, 2024, has amassed thousands of likes in dozens of clips that showcase the mischievous little brother exploring household areas and items he probably shouldn't, playing with his housemates, sleeping, and just being the all-around cat's meow!

Though biscuits are his specialty, Meatball is multi-talented at stealing the hearts of many. One biscuit-watching session and you, too, will feel like you can conquer your day.

There's Actually a Technical Reason Your Cat Kneads

It's well-known that cats knead—aka "make biscuits"—for a variety of reasons. The most obvious is that it's something they do while nursing as a kitten and by kneading as an adult, they associate the same feelings of calm and comfort. When they knead on you, they feel happy and want to share it with you or they may even think of you as their surrogate mother and are simply saying, "I love you, Mama!"

But, according to Scientific American , Leticia Fanucchi , an animal behavior scientist at Oklahoma State University, says a cat might knead to stretch their muscles and in doing so, it activates scent glands in the paws, "which can be a friendly way for the animal to stake its claim on a favorite human or sleeping spot." They also might drool which means they're incredibly happy. This is all great news because regardless, kneading on you means you're their favorite!

The next time you catch your cat making biscuits , take a lesson from Meatball and breathe it all in. After all, life moves fast. Slow down and let the biscuits take you away.
