    Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office warns residents of scam calls

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa ( KCAU ) — The Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be mindful of scam calls claiming to be law enforcement officials.

    According to a post from the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, the scammer will claim to be Sergeant Steven WIlliams and try to convince you that you have warrants.

    Anyone who receives these calls should hang up. In the meantime, the sheriff’s office is working to identify the person who is making these scam calls.

    The calls may come from 712-344-6066, the sheriff’s office says.
