‘One Last Question—’ CNN Anchor Presents Trump Drug Test Demand To Exasperated Biden Spox

CNN anchor Boris Sanchez wrapped up an interview with Biden campaign spokesperson Adrienne Elrod by asking her response to former President Donald Trump’s demand for a pre-debate drug test.

Trump and his allies have been mounting an attack designed to explain away Biden’s strong performance if he beats Trump at next week’s debate — baselessly claiming he must be doing drugs. At a speech last week, Trump got specific and accused Biden of doing cocaine — literally a baseless accusation (it’s a cocaine pun).

And on Monday night, Trump re-upped his long-running suggestion by writing on Truth Social “DRUG TEST FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN??? I WOULD, ALSO, IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO ONE!!!”

On Tuesday’s edition of CNN News Central , Sanchez drew an exasperated response from Ellrod when he wound down their segment by asking her for a response to Trump’s demand:

BORIS SANCHEZ: One last question, Adrienne. President — former President Trump asking President Biden for a drug test going into Thursday night. What’s your reaction?

ADRIENNE ELROD: I mean, I don’t even really know what to say about that. I worked on Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

You know, she also debated him very effectively. He accused her of being on drugs.

President Biden defeated Donald Trump twice in previous debates.

This is what he does because he doesn’t have anything else to run on. He doesn’t have a plan. He doesn’t have a record for fighting for the American people. He doesn’t know why he’s running, except for to seek political retribution on his enemies.

And so he has to resort to these types of tactics which are, frankly, just silly. Turns off a lot of voters, especially voters who want to see their president fight for them.
