    One dead after skid steer accident in Cambria County

    UPDATE: On Wednesday, Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees provided an update on the deadly skid steer accident.

    Elmer R. Frazier, 64, of Washington County was operating the 2023 Bobcat skid steer about a mile off of the 1500 block of Delancy Road in Washington Township, Cambria County. Around 10:08 a.m., Fraizer was clearing a spot for a drilling rig, however, his Bobcast got too close to the end of a 100-foot cliff.

    The Bobcat toppled a number of times down the cliff, partially throwing Frazier from the Bobcat. He was pronounced dead at 11:47 a.m. Tuesday, June 25 and his cause of death was accidental.

    Fraizer worked for Armstrong Drilling Inc. out of New Alexandria, Westmoreland County.

    CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A male was pronounced dead Tuesday morning after a skid steering accident.

    Cambria County EMS crews were dispatched around 10:00 a.m. for the accident. A male was operating the skid steer along a roadway in Washington Township for a drill rig’s clearing.

    It was reported that he got too close to the edge of a 100 foot embankment, according to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.
