We've seen a lot of wonderful fathers on the Internet. Remember the dad who figured out a way to get his newborn triplets onto a Home Depot cart so he could shop and pull them around? (Spoiler alert, this video is of the same dad.) Or the wheelchair-bound dad who handmade an entire bunkbed for his kids. In this Father's Day month, we are ever appreciative of the dads who go above and beyond for their kids.
This TikTok creator, who is known for his epic DIY home projects, decided to redo an entire section of his family's home and dedicate it to his toddler daughter for a playhouse. We wish we had had one of these when we were her age!
You might already be familiar with the ever-creative Jordan Flom, whose dad DIY videos have gone viral over and over again. Jordan, whose TikTok page has over three million followers and over 130 million likes, is always coming up with new ideas for family surprises. One day he's surprising his wife with a brand new patio and the next he's building a DIY triplet crib! Is there anything this dad can't do?
In this video, Jordan decided to dedicate an entire corner of the home to his oldest daughter, who is still a toddler. Obviously it's every kid's dream to have their own mini house, but instead of that house being outside, what if it was built inside?
How This Dad Made a Mini House Come to Life
The creativity of this project is out of this world.
Jordan and his wife had a built-in closet that they weren't really using too much, so he started the process of turning into a mini built-in playhouse.
To make it resemble a real mini house, Jordan picked up some white siding and attached it all the way up both sides of the closet door, which will soon become the "front" door. He also cut a hole in the wall for a window, since this faux building is going to be his daughter's play cafe as well as her house.
After the siding was up, Jordan cut out individual shingles to replicate a traditional house roof, painting each shingle black and then securing them onto the top of the siding. He added some mini flower boxes underneath the window and placed some adorable faux flowers inside.
Last but not least, he made sure she had her kitchen, multiple princess dresses, and even a chalkboard inside her "house."
When he finally showed his daughter the finished product, she could not stop smiling! Dad of the Year, 100%.
