It wasn’t until recently that Goodwill became the place to shop, which sadly because of this new-found popularity it means they have hiked their prices up insanely high. Throughout the early to mid-2000s it was so uncool to go to Goodwill, and if you did go, dare you be caught holding a shirt or standing in line at the checkout by someone you went to school with. But now Goodwill is all the craze! And nearly everyone can find something that suits their fancy from kitchen gadgets, home decor, clothing, and so much more.

When going into a Goodwill to hunt for your perfect treasure, whether it be a few items that are perfect as is, or an old gem that needs a bit of TLC and DIY flipping , it can take a while to sort through to find it. With all the treasures hiding out at a Goodwill there is equally a lot of junk filling the shelves, but apparently, this isn’t the case for all the stores, depending on the area where the Goodwill is located you may just happen on some really good finds… much like one woman did who scored BIG, check it out below!

Old books; something that is so easy to come across in any Goodwill is old, and I mean very old, books. They make perfect decor pieces stacked on top of each other with a flower vase or candle on top.

Oversized artwork. Perhaps one of the best ways to make your own DIY art, you can add texture to large canvases with plaster and a trowel, or use the frames with your own prints or posters to give them a little extra life.

Wooden cutting boards often fill the shelves of Goodwill and can be revamped into the perfect kitchen decor. Give them a good sanding and a fresh coat of stain before hanging them on the wall or stacking them on the counter!
