Weddings are a joyous time for a couple. It's a time for new beginnings, love, and laughter. For one Golden Retriever named Wrigley, it's also the perfect opportunity to remind Mom who her real life parter is.

A June 24, 2024 TikTok video shared by @annietews14 shows Wrigley's bold decision to cut into the bride and groom's first dance and it's the most precious thing you'll see today. Watch the clip below!

"He said no, that's my mom," the video is captioned. The clip with nearly 300k likes shows little Wrigley strolling around an outside wedding. The moment he sees his mom during her wedding's first dance, Wrigley decides it cannot and should not go on without his inclusion. So, he does the only acceptable thing a sweet Golden should do which is force his way between them to stop the madness (and to get a few pets, too)!

Many chimed in to say this is one caught-on-camera moment is worth a thousand words because Wrigley is the real star of this wedding!

"The only acceptable interruption for a first dance at a wedding," one person commented. "They could rent this pupper out for middle school dances," another joked. "Dog was like 'excuse me, this is not YOUR wedding, this is OUR wedding,'" another added.

    Wedding Etiquette For Dogs

There's no doubt that Wrigley's parents took their first dance interruption in stride, but there are a few general things to know if you're thinking of including your dog at a wedding and/or reception. The American Kennel Club says there are a few do's and don'ts on including your dog in a wedding .

If they're naturally anxious or uncomfortable in crowds, it might not be the best idea to have them at the reception. Also, think about whether or not your dog can handle the music and people at a reception, or if it's best they skip it. This is where basic training can also come in handy.

However, if you want your fur baby to be included in all aspects of the wedding, consider taking some familiar items to the rehearsal to better prepare them for the real thing. And, if your dog isn't handling the wedding ceremony or reception well, take them out of the environment through a designated handler and just include them in the pictures. At the very least, you can capture their cuteness without disrupting any part of the day.
