To announce this year’s event, the online retailer tapped Megan Thee Stallion to unveil the dates for its 10th annual Prime Day . During the sale period, Prime members will be able to shop some of the steepest markdowns and deals on products that will occur this year. This sale is known to drive commerce sales that rival Cyber Week. This event is one of the best times of the year to stock up on everything from electronics to kitchen gadgets and more.
Below is everything shoppers will need to know about Amazon’s upcoming Prime Day 2024, along with the best early Prime Day deals to shop right now. Cue up your Prime app — these deals won’t last long.
When Is Amazon Prime Day 2024?
One of the most-anticipated shopping events of the year, Amazon Prime Day 2024 is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17. As with previous years, Amazon announced that Prime Day would take place across two days this summer, and promised that Amazon Prime members could score millions of deals during the shopping event.
This year, Amazon kicked off the Prime Day announcements with the help of rap superstar Megan Thee Stallion . The Grammy winner helped Amazon break the news by dropping her own new song and its accompanying music video, dubbed — what else — “It’s Prime Day.”
“With all these deals, I could be more than Megan Thee Stallion,” she says in the music video, which sees the artist transforming into everything from Megan Thee Stylist to Megan Thee Unboxer, with the help of products she ordered from her Prime account. Check out the video and listen to the new track below. (Bonus: You can already shop Megan Thee Stallion’s own Prime Day picks on Amazon.)
Do You Have To Be a Prime Member to Shop Amazon Prime Day Deals?
For the most part, shoppers who are looking to score a discount on gear for Prime Day will need to have an Amazon Prime subscription to take advantage of many of the exclusive deals this July. If you’re not a Prime member, we have some good news for you: New Amazon Prime members can score a 30-day free trial to Amazon Prime.
After you’ve tested out the service, you can keep your Prime membership for $14.99 a month or $139 annually.
What Are the Best Early Amazon Prime Day Deals?
With Amazon Prime Day 2024 right around the corner, shoppers will still have to wait a little longer to find out which Prime Day deals will be worth shopping. That said, the retailer announced that shoppers could expect up to 40 percent off Sony headphones, up to 40 percent off select school supplies, up to 30 percent off Peloton products , and even more deals from brands like Clinique, Allbirds, KitchenAid, Coach, and Kiehl’s.
Amazon has previously discounted its own line of products during Prime Day, from Ring devices, Kindles, and Amazon Fire tablets, to Echo gadgets and Amazon Fire TV sticks. Earlier this year, Amazon’s Spring Sale saw thousands of products on sale, including Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Gen), discounted mattresses, along with pet deals.
Apple’s latest-and-greatest earbuds are often discounted, and now’s the perfect time to get them for 20% off ahead of Prime Day. They’re among our favorite earbuds on the market.
There’s rarely been a better time to buy a brand-new robot vacuum. Case in point: This top-of-the-line Shark AI Ultra is currently 50% off ahead of Prime Day.
We’re massive fans of Bose’s earbuds for their comfortable fit, excellent sound quality, and, now, their stellar price tag. Best of all: Music fans can score them at 36% off ahead of Prime Day 2024.
Great for students and professionals, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S6 tablet lasts up to 12 hour per charge, and even comes with an S pen, which makes it a breeze to take notes during class and meetings alike.
