FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will be holding a contest to let a lucky Hoosier design the new licenses for the upcoming year.

Hoosiers can submit their original art to serve as the background for the new durable cards being used for hunting, fishing, and trapping during the 2025 seasons. The DNR is encouraging individuals to submit up to two of their Indiana-based nature or wildlife themed art to this website. Anything from photos, paintings, drawings, graphic designs, and any other 2-D mediums will be accepted as long as they don’t use any artificial intelligence.

Four entries will be accepted to be used on the new licenses and are expected to be ready in the early months of 2025. The winning artists names and cities will also be attributed on each card. Once the program is launched, each one of these cards can be ordered as a new durable version for an additional fee added onto the total license fee.

Hoosiers will be able to choose one of the four designs when choosing the new durable credit card style license that will be able to withstand harsh weather conditions. Hoosiers can submit their pieces to the link here and find a full list of guidelines here .
