Lehigh Valley gas prices down, while national average ticks up

Local gas prices have dropped once again.

According to the latest Gas Price Report from AAA East Central, the average price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is 1.5 cents lower this week at $3.628 per gallon.

In the Lehigh Valley the average price for a gallon of gas was $3.520 as of June 25. That’s down from $3.557 on June 18 and is lower than the price it was this time last year.

On June 25, 2023 the average price for a gallon of gas was $3.574

Meanwhile, AAA is reporting that the national average for a gallon of gasoline rose 2.9 cents over the past week to $3.469.

AAA explained that demand has been slowly building but is still behind 2023 levels. This, coupled with increasing supplies, has helped to stabilize pump prices.

Tuesday’s national average is 13 cents lower than a month ago and 10.5 cents less than a year ago.
