Summer is in full force these days, and that means that many of us are spending a lot more time in water... and if you have a dog, there's a good chance that they're going to be cooling off right alongside you. At my house, that means my pup is running around with my kid in the yard through the sprinkler (and having the time of her life jumping through the air while she's doing it). If you're lucky enough to have a backyard pool, that might mean your dog is getting plenty of opportunities to go for a swim.

Swimming isn't the only thing you can do in the pool, though, and for dogs who aren't in the mood to do a few laps, there is another option, as one dog is expertly displaying in this TikTok video.

Recently, @ikerthefrenchie shared the perfect video of their French Bulldog , Iker, lounging in the pool on a hot day, looking absolutely relaxed on a level that most humans will never be able to achieve.

Not only is he wearing a life vest for his own safety, but he's simply floating along on a puffy pink pool float, completely unbothered. This is the life I want to be living right now! As his mom wrote in a comment, Iker only likes to float, not swim, so the situation might be different if he didn't have his floatie!

Commenters couldn't help but remark on how chill this guy is, with one person writing, "all pups should live like this." They're right — dogs deserve it!

    Can Dogs Use Pool Floats?

After seeing this video, I'm wondering if Iker is just a special kind of dog who can make the float thing work... or do I need to start shopping for a float for my dog, who would probably love napping in the warm sun while in the pool, too?

The answer is yes — as long as you choose a dog safe float, since the ones created for humans may not work for our pups (especially if they are

There are many dog-friendly pool floats out there. For example, this hilarious float that will make it look like they're in a doggy paradise, complete with a palm tree. And for bigger dogs, this float can hold up to 100 pounds.

And if your dog isn't a very solid swimmer, make sure they've got a lifejacket on, since safety always comes first, and of course, dogs should always be supervised in any body of water, including the pool at home.

    Happy floating!
