One of the most challenging parts of being a single parent is knowing that no matter how much you do for your kids, you're only one person — and that can be particularly tough when there are special days or events that focus on moms or dads (like Father's Day or a mother-son picnic at school).

In a video posted on June 25, three sisters are about to perform what's supposed to be a special father-daughter dance onstage, but there's one problem...dad's not there. Except, that's actually not a problem at all — because their teen brother saves the day (and dances his heart out!).

"He has no idea the CORE memory he made for his sisters," wrote Amber Morgan . What an amazing big brother ! These girls will never forget the way he was there for them when they needed him most. Even the dads waiting in the wings with their daughters were impressed, as commenters noted.

"The line of dads watching him in awe, knowing how hard it is to raise a daughter . Knowing he's going to be there for not one but THREE young girls. What an amazing young man," wrote EM.

"All of those dads are looking at that boy knowing he's going to be the exact type of man they want for their little girls someday. You did that mama," wrote Kayla Marie.

"Ah I love this - those dads looking on in pride. It's clear you have a strong family and an incredible son . Congratulations bc I know that's not easy," wrote MrsMo.

There's no question that older siblings can be powerful role models for their younger brothers and sisters — but as it turns out, experts say younger children can be positive influences on big kids, too.

How Siblings Can Be Positive Influences on Each Other

"Like parents, older brothers and sisters act as role models and teachers, helping their younger siblings learn about the world," according to the Society for Research in Child Development.

"This positive influence is thought to extend to younger siblings’ capacity to feel care and sympathy for those in need: Children whose older siblings are kind, warm, and supportive are more empathic than children whose siblings lack these characteristics. A new longitudinal study looked at whether younger siblings also contribute to their older sisters’ and brothers’ empathy in early childhood, when empathic tendencies begin to develop. The research found that beyond the influence of parents, both older and younger siblings positively influence each other’s empathic concern over time."

The kids in this video are all lucky to have each other!
