Traffic is not fun for anybody, but unfortunately, it's a daily occurrence. Anyone with a car will sit in traffic at least once; all you can do is hope that it won't last too long.

On Friday, June 21st, one woman got caught in an 8-hour traffic jam, but it wasn't just her. She had her French Bulldog with her, and he has absolutely no problem letting everyone knows how he feels about it. His neighbors are all in total agreement:

    12/10 experience… I would reccommend to everyone. Cannot wait to do this exact route again in a couole days. 🫠 #roadtrip #texas #california #newyork #dog #frenchie #foryou #foryoupage

Walter Geoffrey is one of my favorite pet-fluencers. I actually got some of his merch as a gift a while back!

Walter Geoffrey is an internet sensation, amassing over 2 million followers and almost 70 million total likes. He's a star, and it all has to do with his lungs of absolute steel. Walt loves to scream over every minor inconvenience. He used to live in an apartment, too. That's crazy!

On this day, he, his sister Charlie (also a French Bulldog ), and his mom were going somewhere on a road trip. They got stuck on the highway for 8 whole hours, though no one is sure exactly what the problem was. It was a Friday, and it is the summertime, so most of the highways were probably just as crazy, but 8 hours?! Those poor pups!

    Keeping Dogs Calm in Traffic

Walter, Charlie, and his mom had no choice but to wait it out - there were cars all around them, and as you can see in the video, there are people literally getting out of their cars and walking around. This is called making "traffic friends," and it's actually super fun.

When you have your pets with you, though, things can get a little more complicated. Depending on how long you're stuck in traffic, you may have to take them off to the side to go potty. Other than that, you can prepare your dog for the possibility of traffic by:

    1. Packing a bag full of some extra food, water, and toys.
    2. Keeping the air conditioning on to keep them cool; cars in the summer can get hot fast.
    3. If it's cool enough, you can open the window enough for them to poke their heads out and look around.
    4. If your dog is crated and you know you won't be moving for at least a couple of minutes, you can let them out to roam around the car.

Walter is the exact opposite of calm. While a few minutes of barking and whining is fine, crying like this for an extended period of time can drive both you and your neighbors crazy. Something to occupy the pup will help keep the screaming at bay!
