JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – A man who claimed to be a member of the Hells Angels biker club has been jailed for allegedly assaulting staff at a Jefferson County diner last week and later threatening sheriff’s deputies.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s probable cause statement, the incident happened on June 18. Law enforcement did not identify the business or provide a general location.

Victims and witnesses inside the diner told deputies that a man entered the business smoking a cigarette. An employee asked the man not to smoke indoors as they were a nonsmoking business.

The man said he would stop smoking when he finished. Employees asked the man to leave if he was not going to stop smoking. Things escalated into an argument, culminating in the suspect punching two employees in the head multiple times and tossing one of them across the diner.

An ambulance transported that employee to the hospital. He suffered a broken hand, required stitches, and suffered a possible fracture to his vertebra, according to the statement.

The suspect left the diner and drove away in a blue Chevy pickup truck. Witnesses provided deputies with the license plate number. Deputies traced the vehicle to Billy C. Norris and went to his residence.

Deputies claim the truck was parked in the driveway and still warm when they arrived at the home. They attempted to contact Norris to no avail.

On June 22, deputies claim to have spotted Norris and a woman leaving a gas station in his truck and pulled the vehicle over. During the stop, the woman said she was at the diner that night and confirmed Norris was involved in the altercation.

When a deputy attempted to arrest Norris, he allegedly became belligerent, used various four- and five-letter swears at the deputy, and shouted, “Hells Angels, —–!”

Deputies claim Norris threatened law enforcement at the scene, yelling, “I’d eat you like a soup sandwich! I would break you in a second, you little —–!” When asked if he would like to write a statement, Norris advised the deputy to eat a bag of genitals.

During the drive from the scene to Jefferson County Jail, the probable cause statement claims Norris told the deputy his wife was following them and that she was armed. Norris allegedly said he was good at looking up addresses, that he would “be out in 15 minutes,” that he’d find the deputy and break his arms, and finally reiterated that he’d “love to eat you like a soup sandwich.”

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Norris with second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault. Norris remains jailed without bond.
