Faces of Unimpressed Senior Bulldogs Watching Puppy’s Morning Zoomies Are Priceless

It’s astonishing how much energy a puppy can pack, especially if you’ve been without one for a while. It’s easy to forget they are not just cute and cuddly but also spend a significant part of their day burning off that wild enthusiasm or finding ways to get into trouble.

While their zest for life is always entertaining, it can be a lot to take when you first wake up. Senior dogs also share this sentiment. Check out this video from June 23 to see how these Bulldogs feel about having a ‘morning person’ in the house.

There’s nothing quite like that puppy energy! And while it might be tolerable later in the day, it can be harder to accept when you just get out of bed—especially if you’re not exactly a morning girl yourself. After all, a Bulldog @ nybulldogsisters needs a nutritious breakfast before taking on the day! But there’s a bonus to Lexi burning off all this energy, and that’s likely seen when she heads inside and needs to nap. While Coco is not amused by these antics one bit, sister Phoebe appears to understand how this all works, and that’s why she’s partially participating with her tiny hops. That way, she doesn’t expend too much energy but ensures her little sister gets hers out. It’s a rather clever gameplay. Even if that means her vivacious puppy sibling may knock her over in the process.

    Are All Bulldogs This Energetic?

While many pet parents report their Bulldogs having short bursts of energy like young Lexi, this breed is generally considered a low—to moderate-energy dog. Although some possess the stamina to walk for miles, most are ready to nap after a 10—or 15-minute stroll. This breed can struggle to breathe in the heat, so pet parents must ensure their time outside is limited during the warmest parts of the day.

Many were familiar with this funny situation. Viewer @winstonchurchillbulldog remarked, “I know exactly how you feel, my friends! That puppy energy is just crazy!” It sure is! Viewer @charliemacnycbklyn responded, “Haha! Both girls are asking what’s wrong with her. Lol -forgetting they were like that once, too!” That’s so true- what goes around comes around. Viewer @sherunswithbigdogs laughed, “Lol, they look so annoyed! They need naps and snacks just watching.” That seems fair; it can be very draining just being around this much excitement.

Even though these senior Bulldogs might not have the energy of their younger sister, she undoubtedly has brought much excitement to their pack. While it can be annoying, there’s something about that puppy vibe that always seems to improve the quality of life for older dogs .
