A mom has shared her deep regret over the name she and her husband chose for their third child. Whitney Poole, a mother-of-three, revealed that she had a change of heart about her son's name.
In a social media post , Whitney detailed how she and her partner decided to address their baby name regret and are now in the process of legally changing it from Russell to Charles, according to the US Sun.
In a video shared online , Whitney said: "So mom and dad decided to do something about it and give you the name they wished they chose at the hospital... so without further ado."
"Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is... Charles (but my friends call me Charley) Zane Poole."
Whitney said her son was initially named Russell: She said: "Perfectly good name but Charles is also my dad's middle name so a lot more meaning and significance for our family."
She added: "He was our third and we had such a hard time agreeing on the name. I was lucky that my husband was on the same page."
The couple is now navigating a "long" court process with a "ton of paperwork" to change the name. The mother shared that people have been "supportive" of their decision, but some people have found it more difficult to deal with than others.
She said: "Most people have been supportive. My mom had the hardest time. Which is funny cause she didn't like the name Russell to begin with."
The intriguing TikTok video , uploaded by user @iamwhitneypoole, has captured massive attention, clocking up a whopping 862,900 views.

Loads of parents were bowled over by the baby name tale, and even came forward to share their own baby naming regrets.
One gobsmacked parent shared: "We also regretted our son's name. We had it legally changed when he was one."
Another chimed in: "We changed our daughter's name at 10 months old. Her middle name became her first name and we gave her a new middle name."
Contributing to the conversation was someone else who said: "We did this! But not until she was two so we had to go through the court. It's a lot easier if you do it before they turn one. But I get it."
