Ree Drummond Issues Apology to First-Born Daughter With Throwback Baby Photo: 'It Was the Nineties'

Ree Drummond took a moment to wish her "first baby," eldest daughter Alex , a happy 27th birthday, honoring the special day by sharing a memorable and unique baby photo that she felt the need to apologize for.

The 55-year-old took to Instagram to celebrate the special day, writing, "Happy birthday to my first baby, ALEX! I’m so sorry I did this to you. It was the nineties, we new moms were hectic and very eager, and there was this mall kiosk I couldn’t look away from. I love you! 👼."

The photo showed a very young Alex sitting and staring at the camera while decked out in a cute white dress, a flower wreath on her head, and white wings on her back. She sat surrounded by more flowers with a cloudy sky background.

Alex replied to Drummond in the comments, saying, "I can always count on the Angel mall kiosk photo to resurface annually. 🤣 Love you!!!"

Katie Lee Biegel , who co-hosts The Kitchen , shared her thoughts on the sweet photo, writing, "I’m pretty sure that if I walked by that kiosk at the mall, Iris would be dressed as an angel and getting her picture made," referring to her young daughter who was born in 2020.
