Dakota Johnson’s Fun Beach Day With Jeremy Allen White & His Daughters Reminds Us of Their Special Connection

You read that right. Dakota Johnson and Jeremy Allen White are in full summer mode. The two friends just took White’s daughters to the beach, and no, it’s not as random as it might sound. The star of The Bear shares daughters Ezer, 5 and Dolores, 3 with ex-wife Addison Timlin, and Johnson plays a big role in the little girls’ lives.

The Madame Web star is their godmother! If you’re having a record scratch moment and thinking, “Wait, what?!” don’t worry. You’re not the only one. If you don’t keep up with the actors’ notably-private lives, “Dakota Johnson is Jeremy Allen White’s daughters’ godmother” does sound like a Mad Lib. But Johnson and Timlin are besties, and it’s incredibly nice to see that Johnson isn’t letting the divorce get in the way of her spending time with Ezer and Dolores.

Timlin posted the sweetest birthday tribute to Johnson in 2022 that included a photo of the two of them sitting on the ground. They each have a glass of wine in one hand and, with the other, Johnson is feeding one of her goddaughters a bottle. (How cute?!)

Earlier this year, White and Timlin gave the world a look at what their co-parenting relationship might look like when they spent the day at the park with their daughters, their friends Brenda Song and Macauley Culkin, and their kids. Right now, the couple has joint custody of Ezer and Dolores, but, according to legal documents that were obtained by media outlets last fall, he must meet several requirements to retain it.

The Emmy winner must attend at least two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings each week, see a therapist once a week, and must undergo alcohol testing on the days he’s scheduled to care for his children. It was also reported that he’ll be tested twice every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, three times on Saturdays, and once on Sundays. Should he test positive, the Emmy winner will be retested 15 minutes later. If a second test is positive, his rights will be suspended.

Given the beach day, all signs point to White having met these requirements. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight , the Shameless alum spoke about how his kids react when fans call him “Chef” (as he’s known in The Bear ). “It’s confusing and strange,” he said, “but they know about the show.”

“My oldest, Ezzy, actually, she really enjoys the first like two minutes of the pilot episode, which is just me getting scared by a bear and then falling on my butt,” he said with a laugh. “She’ll ask to watch that a lot! But that’s all of the show she’s seen.”

Earlier this year, when White won a Golden Globe for his performance in the series, he gave “Ezzy” and Dolores a special shoutout. “You are my heart. I love you. I love you. I love you,” he said. And we bet Johnson would have a similar message.
