    Thunderstorm takes down trees, damages homes around Lake Anna in Louisa

    LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Multiple trees have been knocked down and some homes have been damaged by a thunderstorm around Lake Anna in Louisa County on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

    A preliminary local storm report from the NWS, sent out around 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, states that a NWS employee witnessed the downed trees and damaged homes.

    A severe thunderstorm was located by the NWS in the southwestern part of Spotsylvania County at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday. This is potentially the storm that has come to affect these homes in Louisa.
