ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An Anderson County convenience store employee is accused of selling packs of scratch-off lottery tickets under the table for less than face value and pocketing the cash.

According to a warrant from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, an employee at the Stop-A-Minit on Highway 28 Bypass sold three packs of scratch-off tickets valued at $900 to a customer for less than face value.

The warrant went on to state that the employee, identified as 20-year-old Caleb Crews, took the cash with him at the end of his shift.

Crews was arrested and charged with intent to defraud, counterfeit game tickets on June 13.

He was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center and has since been released.
