More Than 60 Beloved Ice Cream Products Recalled Over Listeria Risk — Here's How to Get Your Money Back

Bad news, ice cream lovers: Your favorite summer treat may have just been recalled for listeria contamination, a bacteria that can cause serious illness in humans.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), listeriosis, which causes flu-like and intestinal symptoms, has a fatality rate of 20% — so if you've purchased one of the recalled products, you deserve a refund. Getting your money back should be as simple as returning the item to the place of purchase, and no additional procedures should be required.
The company responsible for this is Totally Cool, which produces several high-profile ice cream brands, and they have offered to address any consumer difficulties. They can be contacted by phone at (410) 363-7801 or via email at regulatory@totallycoolicecream.com.

Friendly's has two ice cream cakes affected by the recall: the Celebration Ice Cream Cake and the Strawberry Krunch Ice Cream Cake. Any cakes with expirations between May 20, 2024, and May 28, 2025, should be returned to the point of purchase.
Abilyn's ice cream cakes have also been recalled for the danger of listeria contamination. Vanilla, chocolate, "For Love of Chocolate," cookies and cream, and cookie dough flavors dated May 20, 2024, and May 28, 2025, should be returned.
3. Hershey's
Even the chocolate-giant Hershey is hit with the recall. Ice cream cakes in the flavor of vanilla and chocolate are potentially contaminated, along with the Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Cones, and Cookies & Cream Polar Bear Ice Cream Sandwiches.
Cakes with the codes 2305140 to 2405170, cones with the codes 3174 to 4047, and sandwiches with the codes 2307187 to 2406163 should all be returned.
If you've purchased any Yelloh! frozen treats, several products have been recalled.
Vanilla Nut Ice Cream Sundae Cones, Vanilla Fudge Ice Cream Sundae Cones, Pecan Praline Ice Cream Sundae Cones, Chip & Mint Ice Cream Sundae Cones, Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches could all be potentially contaminated.
Check your purchases for cone codes from 6T3227 to 6T4157 and sandwich codes from 6T3115 to 6T4171.
5. Jeni's
Jeni's has four products recalled for potential listeria contamination: Chocolate Silk Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches, Key Lime Pie Frozen Dessert, Mint Chocolate Truffle Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Triple Berry Tart Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches. Any codes between 23205 to 24144 should be returned.
6. Cumberland Farms
Cumberland Farms Farmhouse Premium Ice Cream Sandwiches in the flavors of Rich Vanilla and Marvelous Mint may have listeria contamination and should be returned. Check your product for codes between 113025 and 120425.
The Frozen Farmer's Christmas line may have been contaminated, so check your Elf On The Shelf Santa's Cookies Ice Cream Sandwiches and Elf On The Shelf Santa's Cookies for codes between 090425 and 120725.
Several pint flavors are also affected: Strawberry Sorbet, Raspberry Sorbet, Orange Cream Frobert, and Watermelon Sorbet with codes from 090525 to 073026 should be returned.
8. Marco
Marco brand got hit with a hefty list of product recalls. Ice cream sandwiches in Dulce De Leche and Vanilla Chai flavors with product codes between 112825 and 112925 should be returned.
Additionally, pints in the flavors of Dulce De Leche & Cookies, Turkish Mocha, Vanilla Chai, Spicy Peanut Butter Caramel, Peanut Butter Caramel, Moroccan Honey Nut, Green Tea White Chocolate, and Aztec Chocolate with codes between 060724 and 121125 should be returned.
9. ChipWich
If you're a fan of the Original Vanilla Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwich, check your freezer immediately. Best-by dates from Feb. 23 to Dec. 21, 2025, have all been recalled.
Additionally, pints of Vanilla Chocolate Chip and Mint Chocolate Chip with dates from July 24, 2025, to Jan. 27, 2025, should all be returned, as well.
You will want your money back if you've recently purchased an AMAFruits tub of Acai or Dragon Fruit sorbet. There is a long list of codes, but it says all codes are affected by the potential listeria contamination.
11. Taharka
If you are a fan of the Honey Graham or Key Lime Pie flavors, pints with code 100125 should be returned for uncontaminated pints.
12. Dolcezza Gelato
Many flavors of the Dolcezza Gelato pints are being recalled. Mascarpone & Berries, Roasted Strawberry, Vanilla Bean, Peanut Butter Mash, Peanut Butter Cup, Dulce de Leche & Cookies, Stracciatella, Peanut Stracciatella, Swiss Chocolate, Coffee & Cookies,
Hot Cocoa Ice Cream Pints, Sugar Cookie Dough, Dark Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate Fudge with codes from 052024 to 062025 should be returned under the recall.
Nine flavors of LaSalle's ice cream pints are being hit with the recall. Check your freezers for Chocolate, Vanilla, Cherry Vanilla, Vanilla Mango, Vanilla Raspberry, Vanilla Fudge, Dulce De Leche, Cookies & Cream, and Butter Pecan with codes ranging from 111824 to 102525.
Bottom line
Listeria is a serious health concern that results in death in one out of every five cases and almost always requires hospitalization. Don't risk your family's health — check your freezer for any products and take advantage of getting a full refund because of the recall on ice cream made by Totally Cool brands.
