Schuyler County shelter to participate in Empty the Shelters

MONTOUR FALLS, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Humane Society of Schuyler County will again participate in the Bissell Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” adoption event.

The Summer National Empty the Shelters event will take place from July 8 through July 31 in animal shelters nationwide, offering a reduced-fee adoption to those looking to bring a new furry friend into their home. The Humane Society of Schuyler County is one of 390 plus organizations participating in the event.

For the duration of the event, the shelter will offer a reduced adoption fee of $50 or less to make adoption more affordable and to help raise awareness for the pets who are waiting to find their forever home.
