Some dogs are pretty laid back and don't mind sharing attention from their parents. They may even enjoy it. But one Goldendoodle named Alvin believes he should get all of the attention all of the time. Anything else is unacceptable!

In a June 25, 2024 TikTok shared by Sarah Miller ( @sarahmiller352 ), Alvin cannot handle the fact that Mom is holding someone other than him. Take a look at the intense standoff!

My daughter had me hold her babydoll and jealous little Alvin was not having it! He truly believes he’s the only one in this house that deserves any love or affection! 🤣💀 #goldendoodle #❤️🐾 #goldendoodlesoftiktok #attentionseeker #doodle #goldendoodlemom

"My daughter had me hold her babydoll and jealous little Alvin was not having it!" the caption says. "He truly believes he’s the only one in this house that deserves any love or affection!"

The clip, which opens with, "POV you have the most jealous Doodle ever," shows Alvin sitting next to his mom on the couch as he paws at her to leave the baby doll alone. He then lays his head on her for more convincing that he is the only one deserving of this attention. And, though he gets a little reassurance, he absolutely insists she has to make a choice and he's it!

With a bit more pawing to get his point across, the Goldendoodle sniffs the doll before giving mom direct eye contact as if to say, "but I'm your baby!"

"The way he moved your hand and looked into your eyes," one person wrote. "Alvin is the ONLY one who deserves love in that house," another joked. "Alvin said respectfully I was here first," another added.

With thousands of likes, many others revealed their Goldendoodles have similar attitudes, with one adding, "I swear all Doodles are the same!"

What To Do If Your Dog Gets Jealous

WebMD says some dogs feel jealous of any extra attention other dogs are children may get. If they begin to show signs of possessiveness such as growling, snapping, getting in between you and the other object, or giving you extra attention it should be nipped in the bud.

If they're merely being protective, it may include "focusing on another dog, person, or situation, gives their full attention to the scenario, then relaxes and backs down after no threat is found." The key difference is that your dog will calm down once they decide everything is safe.

And, while it's cute when your dog behaves the way Alvin has, it could eventually be a problem, too. To curb jealousy over a baby , doll, or anything else, the site says to ignore them and avoid saying anything to them, looking at them, and touching them. You can also train them to feel relaxed in their crate, keep them separate from whomever they're envious of, avoid making them jealous on purpose, and reward them when they're behaving well.

That said, we're sure Alvin will be redeemed with undivided attention because he's too cute not to!
