Damning four word assessment of Teen Mom's Amber Portwood and Gary Wayt's split

Amber Portwood and Gary Wayt aren't getting back together, per sources.

Insiders close to the Teen Mom stars have weighed in on the couple's relationship after Gary disappeared for a brief period of time after they had had a "discussion" earlier this month. Amber admitted it wasn't a "big blowout fight or anything like that".

But nonetheless, the two have "decided it is over" , according to sources. "They’ve decided that it’s over between them and their engagement is off," an insider exclusively told Us Weekly . "They have too much to overcome to move forward together."

They said there's been "some closure" for Portwood and that Wayt is "not ghosting her", adding: "Amber took off the engagement ring and it’s the best thing. She is sad and she cares about him, but she is willing to see that he is not the right guy for her. She wants to be with someone who accepts her fully." They said it's "created family tension".

"Gary's family was looking her up online and looking at her past and not everything they saw online was true," they told the outlet. "And it was hard for Amber because she’s been trying so hard to move past it and move forward." The insider admitted it was a "very difficult" time for Portwood, but she was a "strong person" and is "going to be ok".

It comes after news Amber "still hasn't spoken" to Gary since he was found, a report claimed last week. An insider claimed that Amber, 34, has not heard from Gary after he went missing following an argument. At the time, Gary took his keys and his wallet and disappeared before resurfacing several days later following a police search.

The insider admitted that Amber has not made any attempt to contact Gary and has not spoken to him since. They said: "Amber has not spoken to him and she isn't reaching out to him." They added to the U.S. Sun: "She hasn't really reached out to anyone since he was found. She is pretty hurt by the whole situation and still in disbelief."

Amber and Gary had been attending her brother Shawn Portwood's wedding in North Carolina when they announced their engagement. A source claimed that Amber had even bought Gary his own ring in return and he was wearing it before he disappeared. As the pair haven't spoken yet it is unclear if the relationship is now completely over.
