It's becoming too familiar in the summer months, strong and damaging storms creating destruction in peoples neighborhoods.

Wednesday night the National Weather Service issued multiple tornado warnings in Allegheny County, Westmoreland County and Indiana County.

There are pictures and videos surfacing on social media from different people in Westmoreland County showing the damage from these storms.

KDKA Radio had multiple callers describe the storms on Wednesday night.

Helen called in and said she was staying with her friends in Trafford when she got the warning a tornado could be in the area.

"The power went out, and it was like a freight train went through. I screamed! We looked out the back, this giant tree is laying in my friends yard. It's an enormous tree. Tomorrow is garbage day, everyone put their cans out and the cans are all over everywhere," said Helen to Michael Bartley.

"I thought it was the end of the world," she followed.

Later on, Chuck from Harrison City called into Bartley's show. He said he was driving through the storms.

"My neighbors and I have come to the consensus it may have been a small tornado," said Chuck. "I got to the turn into my block and I started getting battered by branches, got hit by a board, my car took a pretty sized beating but no actual damage thank God."

"I turned around, got back to my house, there's a tree down blocking one of our streets. There is no chance of getting that tree moved before tomorrow. I drove around and my entire neighborhood is without power," Chuck said.

Chuck also said a neighbor lost his concrete patio during the storm.

"He said he had it completely ripped out of the concrete, it blew 4 houses down and landed in front of my next door neighbor."

The National Weather Service will investigate the damage on Thursday in all of the areas that had storms and determine if tornadoes touched down.
