Watch: Dax Harwood Surprised By Hero Bret Hart For 40th Birthday

Dax Harwood was delighted to receive a special birthday gift to celebrate turning 40 this week: WWE Hall of Famer Bret 'The Hitman' Hart.

On Twitter/X, Dax shared a video of Hart surprising him in a public restaurant and the FTR member was delighted and stunned to see the Hitman. Hart joked that those around would be wondering who this "old guy" is and the two men embraced. In the caption, Dax explained that his wife Maria and Cash Wheeler arranged for the meet-up with Bret.

Hanging with Bret would be a treat for any wrestling fan, especially for Dax. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion is a huge fan of the Hitman and in a 2022 interview with Fightful , had plenty of praise for the Canadian legend.

"He is one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever met before. I get a lot of flack online when I talk about him, but at one time it was the fan in me, but now it’s the human being in me, how much I love him and respect him, how much he’s done for me, dude."

That same year, Harwood adopted the sharpshooter in tribute to Bret and uses the iconic submission move to this day. He also had the chance to work with Bret as the legend was in the corner of FTR at a Big Time Wrestling event.

2022 also saw Dax face Cash in the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament and the match included several callbacks to both the Hitman and his late brother . Clearly, Harwood has a ton of respect for Bret, and that admiration will only grow after this surprise for Dax's 40th birthday.
