Caitlin Clark-Alex Sarr faceswap, explained: Why lookalike video of 2024 NBA Draft pick & Fever star went viral

Heading into this year's draft cycle, Alexandre Sarr's basketball comparisons consisted of a steady stream of high-impact seven-footers, from Jaren Jackson Jr. to Chet Holmgren and Kristaps Porzingis. After Wednesday's draft, however, another name came to the surface, one who has very little in common with the Wizards prodigy.

Countless users on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, likened Sarr's countenance to that of another basketball marvel: Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark.

The resemblance appeared uncanny to some, particularly under the glare of the draft's spotlight.

In fact, one social media user went the extra mile, swapping Clark's and Sarr's faces with one another in one of the more eerie videos posted in recent memory.

There aren't a whole lot of other noticeable similarities between the two high-profile youngsters. Sarr is a 7-foot Frenchman whose impressive defensive chops, coupled with above-average shooting for his size, projects well for the Wizards rookie, taken with the second pick in this year's draft to much fanfare.

Clark, meanwhile, is a supernova, having garnered endless praise and conquered countless marks during her Iowa days. She's translated that skillset to a standout rookie campaign with Indiana, showcasing her tremendous three-point shooting range and sumptuous passing ability for a Fever side slowly but surely climbing up the WNBA's ladder.

Looks can be deceiving, but if Sarr can find a modicum of the success that Clark has in her rookie campaign, that will constitute quite the performance.
