    One-Pot Country Spaghetti

Indulge in this delightful pasta recipe that is not only simple to prepare but also minimizes the number of dishes you need to clean. This economical, filling, and nutritious dish can easily serve 4 to 6 people.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
    • 4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
    • 3 tablespoons of butter
    • 1 pound of ground beef
    • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
    • 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 pound (16-ounces) of spaghetti noodles
    • 8 cups (2 quarts) of chunky vegetable pasta sauce, or use your preferred sauce
    • 6 quarts of water

    Instructions:

Begin by coarsely chopping 1 large onion and mincing 4 cloves of fresh garlic. Set them aside.

In a large pasta pot, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, stirring well and cooking for about 5 minutes.

Next, add 1 pound of ground beef to the pot along with the seasonings. Stir well and cook on high heat for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked. Keep the meat mixture in the pot without draining the grease, as it will be used instead of olive oil or canola oil when cooking the pasta.

Add 6 quarts of water to the meat mixture. Bring the water to a rolling boil in the pot over high heat. Add the spaghetti noodles and cook for about 12 minutes.

Drain the water from the pasta and meat using a colander.

If desired, rinse the pasta and meat under running water. However, I prefer to use the heat from the noodles and meat to warm the pasta sauce once added.

Return the spaghetti to the pot and mix in 8 cups (2 quarts) of pasta sauce. Stir well to combine.

Serve and savor this delicious one-pot country spaghetti!
