The Teen Mom ladies have shared their lives with MTV viewers for over a decade. One of its stars, Maci Bookout , has been with the franchise from the beginning and seemingly doesn't want to end her reign as one of the show's longest-running cast members anytime soon. After starring on Teen Mom for many years (and 16 and Pregnant before that), Maci is now taking fans inside her life as a grown woman, entrepreneur, and mom of three.
While most people struggle with "adulting," even more would struggle to do so in front of reality TV cameras. Maci is no exception, as her choices are magnified for public consumption. Thankfully, she has her fans by her side as she deals with significant blows to her bank account. Maci reportedly owes thousands in back taxes, and rather than relying solely on her Teen Mom checks (though they've certainly kept her afloat), the public figure might be getting extra creative on social media.

Maci Bookout owes over $700K in tax liens and is possibly using Cameo as a way to pay it off.
In June 2024, RadarOnline and other outlets reported that Maci was hit with her fourth—and most expensive—tax lien, totaling $351,699. The lien came after she was also hit with three other liens within the same year. Her first two liens came on Feb. 7, 2024, one for $105,346 and another one for $49,383. In total, she owes $ $736,000 in back taxes.
While Maci has been on reality TV since she starred in the first episode of 16 and Pregnant in 2009, and now has a reported net worth of $2 million, finding an extra $736,000 would make anyone look for additional income. It seems the MTV star is of the same mindset as she's charging her fans $75-100 for Cameo videos . For those unfamiliar, the app allows celebrities to send personal video messages to fans for birthdays, holidays, you name it.
Maci's account, specifically, shows her speaking to several moms to celebrate Mother's Day. According to The U.S. Sun , the reality star has been advertising her Cameo services on Instagram.

Maci Bookout's husband, Taylor McKinney, also owes a hefty amount in back taxes.
As Maci continues to be hard at work finding her multiple streams of income, her husband, Taylor McKinney, is likely doing the same. A Court Clerk in Tenessee, where the couple lives. told The Sun in June 2024 that "There are five unreleased liens on Maci, and three of those are with Taylor named as well." Taylor's exact amount of taxes owed is unclear, but it's reportedly close to Maci's. In addition to their February and June 2024 tax liens, they were hit with a $86,620 lien on May 10, 2024.

Maci and Taylor's tax issues reportedly first surfaced in 2023 in a separate Tennessee county. The lien was issued to both of them in the amount of $143,413. The lien is still ongoing and was reportedly added to Taylor and Maci's debt.
Before their tax issues, Maci and Taylor, who married in 2016 and share two children, Jayde, 9, and Maverick, 8, as well as Maci's son, Bentley, 15, with her ex, Ryan Edwards , racked up some serious coins in cars and property. Maci reportedly owes multiple expensive jeeps. The couple also built their dream house in 2021, a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom mansion in Cleveland, Tenn.
