Not all Middle Georgia Fourth of July celebrations will be held on same day. What to know

With the Fourth of July coming up next week, Middle Georgia will have several events for the public to attend to celebrate.

Macon will have local events, but so will surrounding areas like Houston, Jones, Baldwin and other counties.

Here are events where you can celebrate U.S. Independence Day across Middle Georgia.

Bibb County

Historic Ingleside Fourth of July Parade

Historic Ingleside is having its Fourth of July parade from 10 a.m. to 12. p.m. on July 4. The parade will be on Riverdale Drive. Participants are asked to meet up at 9:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for Best Patriotic Costume, Best Decorated Bike and Golf Cart, and Best Decorated House. Music and snacks will follow the parade.

Houston County

Warner Robins Celebration and Fireworks

The 41st annual Warner Robins Independence Day celebration will take place on June 29 at 7 p.m. at McConnell-Talbert Stadium. Families can enjoy 25 food trucks serving soul food, barbecue and ice cream, along with a “Patriotic playland” with body art, bouncy houses, balloon animals and more.

Centerville Independence Day Light Show

Centerville is hosting a Fourth of July celebration June 29 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Center Park. The event will feature live music, food trucks, yard games and a drone light show. Parking and admission are free.

Perry’s celebration

Historic Downtown Perry will have a patriotic celebration on Sunday, July 2 from 5. to 9 p.m. The celebration will feature a patriot parade, live music, 13 street vendors, face painting, a Middle Georgia Gellyball target range and more. A special gift will be offered to military personnel, first responders and veterans at the Visit Perry tent. The city says there will be a surprise at the end of the night.

Jones County

Jones County’s Fourth of July celebration will take place July 27 at 6 p.m. at the Morris Bank Recreation Complex. The “ Independence Day Extravaganza ” will feature food trucks, live music, a large fireworks display and kids’ activities. First responder vehicles and a helicopter will be available to explore.

Baldwin County

The city of Milledgeville will host its annual Fourth of July fireworks show June 29 just after dark at Central Georgia Technical College. Suggested viewing areas are Walter B. Williams Park and the parking lot of the Board of Education

Monroe County

Monroe County will have a fireworks show on the Fourth of July at 9:30 p.m. The display will be shown at the police station on 140 Blaine St.
