(Dog of The Week is a regular feature by the Beaver County Humane Society seeking forever homes for adoptable dogs.)

Hi, I’m Ozzie. I'm a 3-year-old, neutered, Pit Bull Terrier mix. I am 61 pounds of pure muscle and I’ve been at the shelter since February. I’m the perfect mix of smart, goofy and playful.

My ideal home would include lots of hikes, cuddles on the couch, and all the focus on me. I would do best in a home with no young kids and no other pets. Hey, I don’t want to share your love!

A good mix of training and cuddles is exactly what I’m looking for. I love learning new tricks with the staff but will let them know when I’m over it. When I get bored of all the sits and stays, I will roll over for some belly rubs.

My favorite type of training is crate training. I love to spend time in there with a tasty treat.

Here’s what a staff member has to say about Ozzie:

“Ozzie is a big goofball. He loves spending time with staff and volunteers. Recently, he has been spending some time in the office. When he visits, he loves to steal stuff and rearrange the room. Just the other day he stole an empty box out of the closet, zoomed across the room, and did a little dance to celebrate. When I asked him to bring it back to me, he did. I think he just loves to make us smile. Maybe the next thing Ozzie steals will be your heart!”
