AEW veteran commentator Tony Schiavone missed a part of this week's edition of AEW Dynamite.

Schiavone is a regular member of the AEW Dynamite commentary desk alongside Taz and Excalibur. While he was part of the duties when the show started, by the end of the show, he was no longer to be seen. His absence raised concerns and one fan asked about his status on X. The legendary commentator explained that he had lost his voice and he had been struggling with it since the weekend. He wrote:

"Lost my voice. It was giving me problems all weekend. Thanks for asking."

Tony Schiavone has been a part of AEW since its inception in 2019. He has been lending his voice to all three weekly shows of the promotion. He regularly partners up with Nigel McGuinness on the commentary on AEW Collision and he has also been doing backstage interviews with wrestlers.

Fellow AEW commentator, Jim Ross has also been dealing with health issues. He recently announced that he returned to the hospital due to breathing difficulty. This marked his second emergency trip to the hospital after his hospitalization last month. Good Ol' JR revealed that a virus caused the trouble but he has been recuperating well.

Jim Ross has had a bout with skin cancer in the past. This year has also been tough for the veteran. He confirmed his surgery on his right hip . However, JR has been fighting through the hardships and remains dedicated to his duties. He has inked a new deal with the promotion but his career might be slowing down.
